When I was exploring my hockey options Mitch was very helpful in mapping my different paths. He was very informative in explaining the NCAA route from his past experience. He takes time to sit down with you and lay out a plan that works with your needs. He was genuinely interested in my success. I was fortunate enough to make it to the OHL and appreciate that Mitch still takes time to talk hockey and provide advice.

I joined the Shoot for Success family and the support that I have received from Mitch has been unreal. All the calls and knowledge he has can really help hockey players choose the pathway that is best for them and that’s exactly what he did for me. Mitch helped me advance into the league on the team that I wanted to play on. 

After finishing minor hockey I was approached by Mitch and introduced to Shoot for Success. Mitch helped me navigate various junior hockey leagues and make educated decisions on what path might bring me the most success while establishing connections with junior programs. During the NAHL draft Mitch had connections with multiple teams in the league which gave me the most exposure to the NCAA. This provided much relief for a kid that really didn’t know how big the hockey world was. Through my years of partnering with Mitch he has worked seamlessly with not only myself but my parents as well. He was never afraid to sit down and answer any questions we had or even just to talk about life! Without the help of Mitch I would not have had made the friends I did and experienced all the various things junior hockey has to offer. I also thank Mitch for helping me achieve my goal to play university hockey and continuing my hockey career.

I joined Shoot for Success back in 2020 after a call with Mitch and my family. From the start, he was professional and made me feel like a top priority. He went above and beyond throughout my junior hockey career, always focused on helping me reach my goals and putting me in the best positions to succeed. We’ve recommended Mitch to numerous players and families, and we’ll continue to do so. My hockey career wouldn’t have come close to what it is today without his guidance. I can’t thank him enough for his support throughout the process, from navigating multiple levels of junior hockey to ultimately earning a USports scholarship he did everything in his power to make sure I was successful.

I began working with Mitch a couple years back and right from the start he was easy to get along with. He is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about your career path. After a few phone calls we joined Shoot for Success and I am very happy I did. Together we made a path to help guide me through the complicated route to get to the NCAA. He has many connections and contacts with teams across Canada and NCAA schools. Recently I have committed to the Powell River Kings in the BCHL and Mitch has given me great advice on what to expect. We will work together on trying to reach my goal of playing NCAA hockey. Shoot for Success is a great program that is there for your every need. 

When I was exploring options for both junior and college hockey Mitch was exceptionally knowledgeable in every step of that process. I had full confidence in every decision I made because of the knowledge he provided me with. I was lucky enough to commit to NCAA Division 1 Stonehill College and appreciate everything Mitch has done for me! 

I was watching the OHL draft and saw my name pop up on the screen, it was just emotions from there sharing the moment with my family. It’s an honour getting drafted to the London Knights, they are a great organization. I would like to thank my agent Mitch Atkins for being there for me, reaching out to everybody, supporting me in the skates and phone calls with him. It’s been unreal! 

In the spring following my OHL draft year I was approached by Mitch, we had great conversations about what he could provide for me and a game plan for my junior hockey path. I was drafted to the Oshawa Generals in the OHL. Mitch helped facilitate opportunities for me to be placed for my first year of Junior B with the Strathroy Rockets. From there Mitch has helped me countlessly with higher level junior teams, setting up college visits, and finding good fits each season. I have built a great relationship with Mitch over the last 5 years and counting through endless conversations. I cannot recommend him enough as both a person and advisor.

I am really thankful for everything Mitch Atkins and Shoot for Success did for me throughout the recruiting process of going to school after junior hockey. He was always honest, supportive, and helped guide me through every step of committing to a school. He gave me great advice, helped me understand my options, and genuinely cared about finding the best fit for me both academically and athletically. With his help I was able to connect with a number of NCAA schools including UW Stout who just came off a Frozen Four run and ended up being ranked third nationally. I ultimately decided to commit to the University of Wisconsin Stout and Mitch was a huge part in making this happen for me. I’d definitely recommend him to any player going through the college recruiting process.

I was first introduced to Mitch and Shoot for Success five years ago in 2017. I was one of his first clients. He took the time to visit my home and sit down with my family and I. My experience with Mitch and his mentorship has been exceptional. Throughout the years he has remained in constant contact with me and has taken the time to provide advice, encouragement and instruction. Mitch has helped me achieve my goal of playing college hockey for an incredible school while also getting a great education. I committed to Elmira College and cannot thank Mitch enough for his support throughout my hockey journey.

At the end of my last season of junior hockey I was unsure of where my career was headed until I met Mitch. In just a month Shoot for Success helped me obtain multiple NCAA offers and guided me through speaking with multiple coaches and schools. He was an integral part of achieving my goal of playing hockey at the NCAA level and I can’t thank Mitch enough!

Working with Mitch has been a pleasure! He sent emails to schools I had an interest in, personally picked up the phone to call coaches on my behalf, and guided me on questions I had about the NCAA process. He even gave me little tips and tricks on how to keep a clear mind in a big game. Mitch is a well connected advisor in the hockey world. I want to thank him for how much effort he has put in over the past few years!

I am beyond happy to have accomplished my goal of playing NCAA Hockey. It has been a journey of learning, hard-work, dedication and perseverance. I am thankful to Mitch for believing in me, putting me out there and helping me further my dreams. He is always there to talk to and provided me with great advice and guidance. Mitch has been absolutely amazing in every step of my junior and NCAA recruitment process. He has a ton of knowledge and connections at both the junior and NCAA levels. Mitch played junior hockey and graduated at the collegiate level while playing the sport he loves. The way he expresses his experiences while playing college hockey is motivational and you can tell he wants every kid who loves the game to experience the same relationships and memories he did, no matter where your career takes you. Mitch has such a large network of relationships with so many coaches and other personnel. I was never the kid to have many options with regards to hockey and choosing which team I wanted to play for. However, Mitch put in the time and effort to seek out schools. I ended up having a great selection of schools that had my preferred courses as well as first class athletics programs. I am now proud to say that I will be attending college to continue my hockey career as well as further my education to become an architect. What separates Mitch from everyone else is that he’s your friend before your advisor. He is someone that you can talk to about anything, even if it’s not hockey related. I hope whoever reads this takes the chance on Mitch because I promise you, he’s worth it.

Mitch has been an amazing advisor for the past five years. His knowledge of junior hockey and the NCAA put me in the best position to get noticed and be successful in my search for a college hockey program. Mitch’s relationships with junior and college organizations created smooth and easy methods of contact that allowed me to obtain as much information as possible to make the decision that was best for me. Mitch was always there when I needed him for advice or had questions. Mitch could also relate from his own experiences which helped in the decision process. My family and I have been very happy and grateful for the work that Mitch has done in helping me play NCAA hockey. I highly recommend his service. 

I began working with Mitch in the pre-season of my 19 year old campaign. Mitch helped find the right junior teams that suited my aspirations of playing college hockey, as well as navigated the trade process multiple times between three Junior A leagues. Under his advisement, I was fortunate enough to win the NOJHL Championship with the Soo Thunderbirds and had an unbelievable once in a lifetime experience of playing for the Centennial Cup, Canada's National Junior A Tournament. He is always a call away, and has been the voice of reason to calm my frustrations throughout my junior career, as he has experienced these hardships first hand. His knowledge of the NCAA commitment process was of tremendous use during my school selection process, and helped facilitate conversations and opportunities for me. I cannot thank Mitch enough for his support and the positive impact he has made on my career!

I first met Mitch in Kitchener before one of his skates. He sat down with me and asked what my goals were for the upcoming season and beyond. I told Mitch that I wanted to play NCAA hockey next September. He was honest with me and upfront with what I needed to do to achieve that goal. Over the next couple months Mitch set out to help make that happen for me. He put me in touch with many coaches from different NCAA schools around the states. At times when I was going through games without points or wasn't playing my best Mitch always stayed by my side and was very positive the whole way through. When I had a big game, I would often see a text or get a call from Mitch congratulating me. If you are a player trying to get to the next level I would highly suggest working with Mitch!

Working with Mitch has been an all around great experience. He was readily available when I had questions or concerns, always assisting me in the process. Mitch was very supportive during my junior hockey career. He would regularly send congratulatory texts after my wins and check in to see how I was doing. With his knowledge in the industry and supportive guidance, he definitely helped me achieve my goal to play NCAA hockey! I am grateful and extremely appreciative!

I came to Mitch with about a month left before college started looking for an NCAA opportunity. He helped me through the college application process, and within a couple of weeks discovered a number of solid NCAA opportunities. He was very helpful throughout my time searching for a school, answering all of my questions and giving me tips on how to handle certain situations. We were in constant communication throughout the whole time which I know is something you don’t always get with a lot of advisors. I’m sure I was probably one of, if not the latest commit. I’m very happy I will be attending Northland College, and I highly recommend his expertise in helping anyone achieve their hockey dreams!
