Mitch Atkins - Founder

For Mitch Atkins, hockey has been a lifelong pursuit of excellence, growth and purpose. His passion for the game evolved into a commitment to helping athletes reach their highest potential. Mitch founded the Shoot for Success agency in 2017 while attending Elmira College. He expanded the agency while pursuing an 8 year professional hockey career, developing an extensive network and reputation throughout the hockey world. His unique journey to playing professionally began from AA, to Junior C, B, and A, before earning the opportunity to play 3 years of NCAA hockey where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Every lesson learned from overcoming adversity, intense competition and a relentless drive to improve shaped the foundation of Shoot for Success. 

Today, Mitch is dedicated to guiding, supporting, and advocating for the next generation of athletes to maximize their opportunities, development and earning potential. Every client relationship is built on trust and a shared commitment to excellence on and off the ice. Shoot for Success was created for the athletes who love the game, compete relentlessly and outwork the competition every step of the way.  

With 50 years of hockey experience as both a player and coach, Paul offers invaluable pro-level guidance to enhance each player's development. He played at the highest levels of junior and senior hockey in Newfoundland, including the St. John’s Junior Hockey League (SJJHL) and the St. John’s Shamrocks of the Newfoundland Amateur Hockey Association (NAHA). Throughout his long career, Paul has been coached by and played alongside many NHL and WHA players, gaining valuable insight from their experience. He now passes along that knowledge to players, helping them develop the attitude, habits, and skills needed to succeed at the next level. 

Kaden oversees the development of our goaltenders. His role combines coaching and training to maximize performance. Kaden brings invaluable experience to our athletes as he played in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings following an impressive junior hockey career where he won an OHL Championship and birth in the Memorial Cup with the Hamilton Bulldogs. 

Andrew focuses on growing the agency’s European operations following a 3 year professional hockey career spanning across 4 different countries. Andrew won the Queen's Cup Usports Championship with the Guelph Gryphons. Prior to Guelph he received an NCAA Division 1 scholarship to Miami Ohio after a fantastic junior career being named the OJHL goaltender of the year.
