Mitch Atkins - Founder

After a successful junior career, Mitch received a scholarship to play hockey at Elmira College, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Business Administration with minors in Economics and Finance. Mitch founded the Shoot for Success agency in 2017 while attending Elmira College. He balanced the growth of the agency while expanding his connections through an 8 year professional hockey career. His resilient pathway to the ECHL from U18 AA, to Junior C, to B, then A prior to the NCAA has provided him a unique pathway to mentor athletes to build resilience and find confidence through adversity. He applies the same passion, determination, and attention to detail that made him a successful player into his work as an agent. His mission is clear: to guide, inspire, and prepare the next generation of athletes to reach their full potential on and off the ice, while maximizing their compensation and development throughout their careers.

With 50 years of hockey experience as both a player and coach, Paul offers invaluable pro-level guidance to enhance each player's development. He played at the highest levels of junior and senior hockey in Newfoundland, including the St. John’s Junior Hockey League (SJJHL) and the St. John’s Shamrocks of the Newfoundland Amateur Hockey Association (NAHA). Throughout his long career, Paul has been coached by and played alongside many NHL and WHA players, gaining valuable insight from their experience. He now passes along that knowledge to players, helping them develop the attitude, habits, and skills needed to succeed at the next level. 

Kaden oversees the development of our goaltenders. His role combines coaching and training to maximize performance. Kaden brings invaluable experience to our athletes as he played in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings following an impressive junior hockey career where he won an OHL Championship and birth in the Memorial Cup with the Hamilton Bulldogs. 

Andrew focuses on growing the agency’s European operations following a 3 year professional hockey career spanning across 4 different countries. Andrew won the Queen's Cup Usports Championship with the Guelph Gryphons. Prior to Guelph he received an NCAA Division 1 scholarship to Miami Ohio after a fantastic junior career being named the OJHL goaltender of the year.
